This fiction places laughter at the level of paradox : first as an agent of communication, then as a symbol of the absurdity of our efforts to communicate with one another. A young man dressed in black and carrying an instrument case walks into a club. After a few drinks, he opens his case, takes our a revolver and shoots two customers. While the patrons laugh themselves silly, the band plays on. The laughter, like the music, is non-stop.
