Mechanics of Touch depicts a dance performed by hands. Those hands, seemingly detached from the rest of the human body, appear like individual bodies or creatures that push or pull each other, caress, hold tightly, squeeze violently, or penetrate each other, thus visualising human behaviour, such as aggression, protection, sensuality and caring.

Hand gestures and shapes transform constantly, thus allowing for a large range of associations, visual references and narrations. The constant metamorphosis allows for a wide range of interpretation, while the emerging dance brings to the foreground the essence of a human body - skin, bones, veins, its liveliness and vulnerability.

It is a video project with focus on hand movements as non-verbal and non-vocal language, and their sensual, expressive and transformative potential in order to examine social and cultural relationships and dynamics between people.
