An old man, whose years are beginning to weigh on him recounts the principle moments of his childhood and adolescence. It is a life rife with difficulties. As a child, he loses his father, and later, his mother. Upon becoming a man, he meets Diana, the love of his life. They marry, leave the Prairies and move to Quebec where he eventually finds poorly paid work. He loses this job and finds himself unable to find more work. Exasperated with their life of misery, Diana leaves him. The video is a hymn to the harsh realities of life and to its intrinsic poetry.
