Yvette Gendron is a suburban housewife. Each afternoon, she allows herself a moment of respite : one hour of dreams... or reality, watching her favorite soap opera. The dramatic moments of the story and those of the Gendron's lives mix and become confused, to the point of upsetting family harmony. The family members recreate, in front of the camera, and typically in dramatic moments, the troubled experiences of their lives.
