To Avoid Fading
Using a multi-generational video-projection technique, the artist creates a video self-portrait that is unclear, unstable, influx. The artist distracts from the value we place on our physical bodies by allowing his image to distort, blur and degrade through six cycles of shooting and video projection. Through this repetition of action and the duplication of his image, the everyday activity of taking a shower becomes meditative and ritualistic, suggesting a spiritual self-portrait.
