Born in Toronto (1977) and currently living in Montreal, Owen Eric Wood is an interdisciplinary artist whose recent works explore the mergence of sculpture, performance and video. He studied Fine Arts at the Concordia University in Montreal and journalism at the Ryerson University in Toronto, where he also worked as a researcher and writer for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). His art work has been included in such international forums as the Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival, the European Media Art Festival and other festivals in Germany, Spain, Brazil, Italy and the United Kingdom. His work has been shown in Canada as part of such events as the Festival International du Film sur l'Art (FIFA, Montreal) and the CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival (Toronto).
