Lorraine Dufour
Lorraine Dufour was born in Montréal in 1950. She is writer, director and editor of a number of educational videos. She has been collaborating with Robert Morin for over 15 years. Together they work on the concept, direction and editing of their short videos, and founded Morin-Dufour Vidéo Inc. She has also worked as producer and editor for Robert Morin's two feature-length videos, Tristesse modèle réduit, and La réception. Together, they received the Bell Canada Prize for Video Art in 1991 for their collective achievements. Lorraine Dufour continues to work at the Co-op Vidéo de Montréal and helps members and others with their productions. Dufour is a multi-talented and socially engaged person with a strong belief in cinema and independant video, and its power to provoke.
