Robert Morin has been contributing to Quebec cinema for more than twenty-five years with his “interior views”, each one more effective than the last. A founding member of Coop Video in Montreal in 1977, to date he has directed some thirty films and videos : shorts, medium-length films and features, most of which win prizes and obtain nominations around the world. Robert Morin is one of the most prolific Quebec filmmakers of his generation. In 2002, Vidéographe, in collaboration with Coop Video, released a DVD boxed set entitled The Videomaker’s Journey (1976-1997) containing all of his videos. He is currently developing three projects : a film adaptation of an award-winning novel by Hubert Mingarelli, Quatre soldats ; a feature film, La Femme étrangère, which takes place in the Amazon ; and Journal d’un coopérant, which takes place in Africa.
