Expédition dérisoire (Derisory Expedition) is a series of scenes wherein minute contemporary problems of organization, communication and progress are put into simplified situations. Theatrical action is stripped bare. Geographical orientation is irretrievably lost. Nothing remains but a vast, depthless, white desert; the clear void. It is like after a cataclysm; the characters, objects, and ways of constructing try to come together, to build, once again, a new system, to establish an uneven order of distribution, and to produce relations which seem to take the form of a warning. Expédition dérisoire 1 is the first of three parts in a series comprised of nearly thirty chapters. The chapters compose a matter in which we see a cardboard world, a devilish machine, a man attacked by highways, disappointments, ergonomy lessons and a number of situations underlining in a certain way the failure of sense, all intersect.
