Lacan Dalida
Displayed on-screen are a man and a woman's shadows engaging in a post-mortem karaoke performance. The words from a Jacques Lacan text from Seminar VII entitled "Le transfert" are sung in an electronic version to the melody of J'irai mourir sur scène which was originally performed by Dalida. This film shows the structural relationship between the language of popular music and that of academic writing, but it also presents a performance of spectral psychoanalytical transference.
