This document is set up in two parts : a video caption of a St-John's day filmed in Vancouver in 1974, a scene taking place in a projection room where the guests give their impressions after viewing the tape. This document alternates between scenes of the celebration, and questions asked to the participants about their patriotic feelings, the parade organisation, etc., as well as a priest's sermon about patriotism, virtue, religion. There are also explicative cuts taking the viewer back to those subjects. After the projection, the question of language and the place of french in anglophone territory is discussed with an incited public, who comment quite negatively and criticize sometimes virulently the video which is quite controversial.
