Entrevue avec Lucette Bouchard

Preparatory interview for the document Télé-visite au Musée, put together by Rose Marie Arbour with Lucette Bouchard, the co-directror of the MEDIA gallery, located on Ave. Rachel Est, in Montreal. The aim of the interview is to reveal the objectives of the MEDIA gallery within the Montreal art milieu. This gallery was experimenting with the operating modes of an artist-run centre and attempted to challenge the notion of the artist and that of the gallery as places that are usually dedicated to art commerce. She evokes the difficulties and contradictions that arose due to tension between this questioning and the need for artists to disseminate his/her works.
