The documentary Comment devenir artiste (made for an exhibition of the same title) shows how artistic creation is the result of a process involving various stages, tests, indecisions, decisive encounters and moments of grace. Through interviews with seven Quebec artists of different ages (Nicolas Baier, Mathieu Beauséjour, Marie-Claude Bouthillier, Manon De Pauw, Yan Giguère, Clara Gutsche and Alain Paiement), viewers can follow the various moments when the artist gives form to his or her identity as a creator, decides to become an artist and reaffirms this decision.
