Entrevue avec Fernande Saint-Martin

Preparatory interview for the document Télé-visite au Musée, put together by Rose Marie Arbour with Fernande Saint-Martin, the director of the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal. The interview revolves around the role the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal played in the Quebecois context. The director recalls the mission of the MAC : to provide the public with access to the recent history of modern art, in addition to the art that is currently being made here and abroad. She highlights the importance of the contemporary art acquisition program whose mission is to conserve works for posterity. She emphasizes the Museum’s vocation to introduce the public to current art.
