This video traces the story of Antoine Jolicoeur, a young man tired of his mother’s incessant recriminations and her demands on him to work constantly leaves his home, answers an ad in the newspaper, and moves into a commune where a variety of social classes are represented. There's a cook, a communist student, an astrologer, a scientist, a mechanic, etc. From the first night he spends there, Antoine is confronted with the sharing habits of the commune's inhabitants and finds it difficult to adapt. Following a visit from his mother, who, by her presence alone manages to bring out the faults of his new friends, Antoine decides to return home. But the memories of his life at home return, and after hesitating between his mother's orders and his new friends' faults, he decides to live in the commune.
