In front of a respectable office building, a woman is suddenly kidnapped by another woman and two men. The kidnappers telephone the victim's husband. He follows the instructions word-for-word. Once he has been reunited with his wife - whom he finds abandoned on a country road - he goes to the motel room where he has promised to meet the kidnappers. There the dramatic events come to a surprising conclusion as the wife, the kidnapper, and her two accomplices gather to toast the husband and wish him happy birthday.
