La femme ovale

La femme ovale is one of Louise Bédard's most important solo choreographies. Created in 2003 to an original score by Jean Derome, it is recreated on stage without artifice by dancer Marilyn Daoust. With a costume designed by Angelo Barsetti, the work transports us into a dense universe where daily rituals rub shoulders with the unbridled. A character with a restless temperament and nervous gestures, this enigmatic woman-daughter-child unfolds her luminous being, progressing towards a stripping bare that reveals her in all her fragile solidity.
