A look at the art of tattooing in Montreal, and a portrait of its clientele. Clients explain their relationship to this practice : aesthetics, affirmation of difference, or the marking of a particular event in their lives. One character in particular, an ex-convict, relates his stories and the meaning of tattoos within the prison system. Scenes of tattooing are juxtaposed with interviews.
