This is a documentary about the impact of technology on art. The tour of Robert Lepage's Les aiguilles et l'opium in Italy becomes the focus point for an examination of the relationship between technology and artistic heritage. Coming from a range of diverse backgrounds, artists and critics such as Gianni Toti, Fabrizio Plessi, and Paola Rosa discuss how digital technologies influence their creative process and alter our relationship with the "other".

Commentary by Claire Valade, Film critic from Quebec

Tekhnê provides an opportunity to enjoy an outsider’s perspective on one of our own artists, Robert Lepage, whose work also explores artists from elsewhere. An excellent demonstration of the interconnectedness of art and culture.
