First of all : B = be, as in to be. Be + rêves [dreams] = B-Rêves. We might think of brève [brief], because it is a fragmented film close to collage. The film’s style is based on the principle of a very free association of ideas, similar to automatic writing in poetry : an amalgam of meanings and sounds which create a video fabric close to abstract animation. This is an experimental approach to video with brings in its wake new formal devices (sampling, collage, fragmentation, reversals, repetitions). B-Rêves is the fruit of rapid editing after long period of recording images over a period of several months.

"In the countryside, with no moon and in complete darkness, I saw the fluo rabbit for the first time, a deep green in its abandoned field, living its life indifferent to the idea of its strangeness, in a burning halo, like when you close your eyes to remember someone, a signal in the black night, a little point. Wise like an image. More edible, that rabbit, unlike beef, once a cow, meat on its feet from birth, butcher shop sign in slow motion in the fields, its soaked curly forehead, its black eyes popping out of its head with fear when you make it get into a truck. Add here a true story about people who love their cow to the point of weaving tailor-made covers for them".
