When Claude Bélanger went to Valleyfield to show his video L'Amiantose tue, it opened up an opportunity to shoot another video, arising from an open discussion between him and workers at the Campbell mine. The video draws a parallel between the two plants, the similarity in working conditions and illnesses suffered by the workers, and the frustrations felt by many workers with the unions’ lack of support for spontanous walkouts and illegal strikes. The documentary also critizises union bureaucracy, opting for increasing talk on working conditions within political committees.
