C'est pas un cadeau !

This video was shot with the participation of the workers and retired workers at the Alcan plant in Shawinigan in November 1974. The editing alternates between shots of the plant, where we see the men's hard work, with shots of discussions about the union, the bosses, the past and present of the plant, the working conditions, and multinationals. One particularly well-shot part is a question-and-answer sequence with the plant's hydraulic engineer. The video ends with statistics demonstrating Alcan's increasing profits.
