This document accords the viewer a sensitive meeting with a psychiatric patient, in order to create a bridge between the two languages. Mignone Cadieux is delirious because she believes herself to be pregnant through Christ. The authors wished to demonstrate that delirium is not a mechanical phenomena without significance, but is a valid coping mechanism- the deranged subject projects fantasies on herself, her origins, and her life. In the case of Mignone, her state serves to re-establish a legitimate relationship that had been destroyed.
