This video demonstrates the subtleties of young people's views on the subject of drug use. Recruited by street workers in the St-Henri and Côte-St-Paul neighbourhoods in Montreal, 13 to 17 year-old youths confide their first experiences. Excerpts from old black and white films, television shows and ads, anti-drug in nature, are presented in "scratch-video" style, with a final impression that these young people perceive this reality with a great deal of intelligence and maturity. This video constitutes an indispensable guide for social workers wishing to increase young people's awareness.
