Italian immigrants, mothers, textile factory workers in Montreal, portraits of three women offer a starting point for discussion on such themes as : the traditional image of women (family, religion), the generation gap between immigrants, factory work, divorce, Women's Aid Centres, integration and adaptation into Quebec society and self-awareness. This frank documentary asks many questions... and leaves it to us to come up with the answers.
