A look into a day at a day-care centre where age becomes irrelevant, and where children are content to imagine themselves on the starboard side of a great ship as they dangle over adults and sing "il était un petit navire..." As the children pretend to be pirates, they discover treasures in simple objects. They prepare to scuttle to tempests, to destroy ancient monsters, to tell new and neverending stories, and finally, to throw themselves overboard to rescue a queen. This is the story of a great adventure, one that cannot be reduced to a moral message nor be viewed solely as a journey of exile.
