Joyeux explores the « shores » of politics. Using as a pretext the personal story of the filmmaker, the chronicle of his birthday, this short movie portrays a globalised and confused world: made of love and friendship as well as exile, absence and loneliness. Joyeux is also an engaged film through its aesthetic research that questions the narrative structure of dominant cinema and gives a significant space to the spectator's imagination.
