We should first mention that this video was produced with the help of a vast group of community television stations that existed at that time, which allowed the producer to present the many activities surrounding Saint-Jean-Baptiste day in various regions of Québec, among them : Grand-Mère, Actonvale, Saint-Jérôme and Beloeil. The slogan for 1977 was "J'ai la mémoire en fête" (Celebrating Memories), and heritage is the guest of honour in all the regions : fiddlers, priests and nuns, parades, fanfares and majorettes. We must also remember that 1977 was the year that, through a bill introduced by the Lévesque government, Saint-Jean-Baptiste officially became the National Feast of the Québécois. Among the artists we can see and hear: Ti-Blanc Richard, Gilles Vigneault and the inimitable Raoul Duguay.
