Artist's Statement:
"For the occasion of the retirement of Robert Daudelin, the former director of the Cinémathèque Québécoise, a party was organised during the Rendez-vous du Cinéma Québécois. At the time, I was on tour in France to present Julie and Me. I nonetheless participated in the event by sending this short film to the organisers, which I shot in Toulouse, Avignon, Sète, Dijon, Paris, Bois d’Arcy, the Cévennes, and Burgundy. It combined the testimonies of actual colleagues of the well-loved director (who was also very active within the FIAF) with those of anonymous well-wishers met during the trip, who willingly contributed to the homage. I recall an improvised shoot, inspired by the music of Chet Baker’s
There will never be another you." - Jeanne Crépeau
