Anti-Credo

In the 1980s, Kantor became associated with the Rivington School, an informal artists’ collective founded by sculptor Cowboy Ray Kelly in New York’s Lower East Side. Using scrap metal and junk, the group created a metallic sculpture garden in a vacant lot between two buildings. The lot was subsequently bulldozed by municipal authorities. Filmed in Super 8, Anti-Credo paints a portrait of daily life in the sculpture garden until its demolition in the autumn of 1987.
