Ex-prisoners talk about the relationships they had with the guards, their experience in jail, the daily violence and the prevailing agressivity. From beautiful archive photographs shot for the defunct OVO magazine, they analyse the symbolism of such a place in the collective imagination, and also the social, economical and political issues of the criminal law which system is modeled on the social class system : 98% of the prisoners come from the underprivileged sections of the population, this is analysed here by an intervener and by inmates, and they also analyse the fear of the people outside who misjudge this environment, the medias often bring wrong information, mostly the press. This document is for information and public awareness, it also includes excerpts from the play Y'a rien là, performed by Archambault prisoners.
