Reflecting upon the relationship between culture and nature, In The Eye of the Storm shows a botanical garden surrounded by the city and its representations, a microcosm of an endangered nature. A "travelling" of the city, taken from an moving vehicule, transforms the urban landscape into a line of colours and stops on the image of an eye, scrutinizing drawings of plants. Looking through a magnifying lens, the eye sees this miniature garden. Playing with the various levels of representation and superposition of images, the artists question with skill, the often destructive effects of our perception of the world upon the environment.
