This video is a audio-visual essay dealing with oppositions and connections surrounding the typical paradigm of hippie thought during the 70’s. It first evokes the disassociation between nature and culture, and then takes us along on a couple’s trip through nature described as the opposition between fire and water. A theme is emphasized through associations and disassociations of images and sounds. Electroacoustic music is used along with traditional music. Scenes of the St-Jean-Baptiste party close the video showing a reconciliation between man and himself and man and nature.
