A Super Natural Premiere

A Super Natural Premiere is a humorous narrative piece that describes my "secret" and first sexual experiences with my favourite brother. The narrative begins in the downstairs bathroom of our suburban home. The voice-over is layed upon a collage of TV shows from the 1960s. When I produced this video I was interested in juxtaposing standard TV images of heterosexual mating scenes with my own story of discovering that I was gay. It is important to note that the personal narrative in the piece actually took place at the same time that I was obsessively watching these super, natural, soft, science-fiction, TV shows. Ultimately, in experiencing that I was "homosexual" at the age of 7, I felt that I was the super natural phenomenon.
