Effets du vent sur un petit arbre décoratif

Add to selection Download PDF

In this video, a small tree suffers the effects of increasingly strong winds from a wind tunnel. The tree remains firmly rooted in place, although its branches bend until they are almost horizontal.

This thought-provoking video illustrates the naturally destructive nature of wind even when it is artificially produced. This video was shot in an engineering laboratory that is usually used to measure the effects of wind on buildings (Wind Tunnel Lab, Department of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Concordia University).
