Le Grand Cirque Ordinaire (The Great Ordinary Circus) opens with an allegoric mime show about the birth of Rita. This gradual «improvisation» is taken from a scene of the play T'es pas tannée Jeanne d'Arc, a kind of tragic mirror about an aristocratic family in an underprivileged neighbourhood.
Commentary by Nicole Gingras, Curator:
A recording of an improvisation during a performance of the play T'es pas tannée, Jeanne d'Arc? by the Grand Cirque Ordinaire theatre company. See it for the pleasure of watching a particular creative mode at work, and for a glimpse of actors who left their mark on the history of Quebec theatre.
