Silliness, over-medication, sexuality, maternity, abortion, family crisis, alcoholism. What themes to approach! What ills to cure! Why not help us help ourselves? This is what Marie-Haute a la Marée Basse suggests. A reflection on the current prejudices on the diverse aspects of women’s lives (Originally a theatre play created in 1981, it toured publicly between 1981 and 1983).
"This video began as a play which was first staged in 1981, and which ran until 1983. The theme is women’s mental health. The piece examines medicine, sexology, tranquilizers and alcohol to further explore the relation between a woman’s body and the social environment."
